Grand National 2019

Aintree hosts one of the major Jump racing festivals in the calendar, and it includes the Grand National – the race that stops a nation. Unlike Cheltenham’s undulations, the three-day meeting in Liverpool is held on Aintree’s much flatter track. Over 150,000 people attend and over £250million is expected to be bet on the Grand National alone, while 10 million viewers will tune in to watch the extended 4m2f marathon chase. We look at some of the stats and trends for all of the 21 races ahead of the 2019 Aintree Festival, and reflect upon the 2018 meeting.
